We have a bit of a unique and interesting mix of work in one office at FLDOT District 4. We issue
various kinds of permits but we also have been issued permits by the Florida Department of Envirnomental Protection. Under the NPDES-MS4 permits we are required to treat our storm water prior to its realease into waters of the state and report annually on our progress in that effort. Since permit holders along the highway rights-of-way are significant contributers to the additives to be found in our storm water, we will monitor our relationship with our neighbors and particularly during permit construction phases.
